Cheery Sort of Day

Lisa's goal for this group of cards was to make them "light and cheery with a young feel". What a great description! It was smart of her to keep the recipients in mind when designing the cards. These were sent to some young ladies at her church. They were created from the With All My Heart collection.

Lisa designed a great card and switched it up with different flowers, instead of coming up with a new design for each girl. What a timesaver!

Spring Card Set

This set of cards Lori created are so happy and cheerful. They would brighten anyone's day.

The layering and grouping on this card creates an imaginative scene. The embossing on the solid pink paper is all it takes to send birthday wishes.

This great color-combo was achieved by combining the die-cut accents from the With All My Heart collection and subtle Corinne papers. You may be surprised to find unique color palettes when you combine collections.

Pinwheels are so fun and springy. But, who would have thought to attach one to a card? Lori, that's who!

Delightful Cards

Lisa has designed two cards to share today. They are both very pretty and contrast each other.

First, this everyday card using the Corinne collection is bright and cheerful. The white leaf stamp and solid papers are a nice base for the flower die-cuts.

Who wouldn't be delighted with that sparkle?

Next, Lisa has an elegant wedding card using the White Elegance collection. This one is itty bitty, just right for a wedding gift.

So whether you have a big formal event coming up or just want to brighten someone's day, go make some cards! It's always good to have some on hand.

Moonrise Celebrate Card

Happy Tuesday! Jill Cornell here again with a simple little card to share with you using the beautiful "Moonrise" collection. I kept the design fairly simple by using just a couple of the pattern papers, a leaf die-cut and a label die-cut. I even pulled out some ribbon I still had in my stash from SEI's "Dill Blossom" collection from a few years ago that matched everything perfectly. I used glue dots to pleat the ribbon and then ran it through my sewing machine to secure the pleats.

I worked with SEI's 6 x 6 paper pad and die-cut pearls accents to create this card. The 6 x 6 paper pads are the perfect size for card makers as they give a scaled down version of the collection's patterns.

Thanks for looking! See you tomorrow! :)

Project Feast

Please welcome Lori! She has a creative blog, life is this. Go check it out for more awesome projects.

Today we are feasting on Lori's wonderful creations! First up we have a layout which combines Moonrise with a hint of Monsterville. No joke! Isn't this lovely?Using the neutral colors from the line is such a smart way to incorporate other colors. The pink adds a nice pop.

Check out this beautiful butterfly detail.

Next we have another Moonrise layout. This one shows off the colors we traditionally associate with Moonrise. Lori's all about the details here - a little ink, stitching, paper curl...

For dessert we have a Moonrise card. The lined paper behind the sentiment is from the sticky note pad.

Now we hope you are filled with plenty of great ideas inspired by Lori. Which of these ideas would you like to use on your next project?

Sweet 16

We already featured Lisa once this month. But, we just couldn't help squeezing in this fun birthday card she made with the Monsterville collection.

It's a good reminder not to decide to soon what a collection should be used for. Some may think it's only good for little boys. However, Lisa thought outside the box and found papers that work perfectly for a 16 year old girl's birthday. Nice work!

Cards + GIVEAWAYS [CLOSED]

Hi! It's me, Kathy Martin, your guest blogger this week at SEI Lifestyle. Can you believe the week is already over? What a terrific week it's been too! Before I go, how about a couple more card shares and a giveaway?

Banners are hot, hot, hot right now and when I saw SEI's new Sticky Note assortment, I immediately thought they would make an adorable banner ! What do you think? They're so fun and easy to work with! Just like Post-It notes, only much prettier, they have a sticky back that you can remove from paper easily. They come in three sizes. I've used the smallest size here on my birthday card. I wish I had more guest blogging time because I have a great idea for using a lot of them on a scrapbook page for journaling! There's just not enough time in the day or week! ;)

For this next card, I used another product that I haven't used this week yet, the Moravia clear stamps and Chalk Ink Blocks. They coordinate beautifully with the rest of the Moonrise collection, don't you think? I used a couple of my favorite stamps for this card, cutting out the flowers and adhering them to my card with pop dots for texture. And there are those Dark Chocolate Puff Alphabet stickers again! I used many of those throughout the week! I don't think I have very many left! I love them!

Okay, now for the giveaway! If you would like a chance to win these two cards, leave a comment on my blog post for today. The winner will be drawn from the comments left and announced on my blog Saturday, 11/13/2010. Good luck to everyone! Wednesday's card winner was Penny Pastor of One of a Kind Albums. Congratulations Penny!

Well, that wraps up the week for me! I truly have enjoyed blogging and sharing my Moonrise collection projects with you! It's been awesome that so many of you have come by to visit and leave comments! Thank you! I hope I've made your visits worthwhile! Kathy :)

Thank you so much, Kathy! You created so many lovely projects with the Moonrise collection this week. We have really enjoyed all of the great ideas you shared. Readers, remember to enter the giveaway for the cards Kathy made and enjoy more of her beautiful creations, go visit Kathy's blog, Card-Blanc.

Lucky you! We have another giveaway too. Our giveaway is for some of the Moonrise product Kathy used this week. To enter, leave a comment on this post by Sunday, October 14th at midnight MST. If we don't hear from the winner within a week we will pick a new one.

The giveaway is closed but comments are still welcome.

Holiday Card Ideas

Do you like to make unique holiday cards? If you do you probably know that sometimes it is hard to think of new ideas. So, we thought we would spark your creativity a little by giving you some holiday card ideas.

All of these cards were made using our new Spooks collection.

For our spooky ghost card we folded a tiny piece of paper accordion style and attached it to the back of each ghost. It is pretty neat to pick up the card and see the little ghosts dance.

For the pumpkin card we cut the pumpkins out of the papers instead of using embellishments. Then we tore the edge to give it a little character, creepy huh?

Last, for the witch hat we cut a shape out of the paper. Think of all the unique shapes you can cut cards into.

These three cards were made with the Kris Kringle collection.

Instead of using an envelope for the first card, we made a pocket that the card slides in and out of. This is perfect if you are hand-delivering the card and don't have an envelope it will fit in.

The second card was made to fold out and reveal the message. There are tons of different ways to fold cards!

The last card is folded so the two sides meet in the middle instead of just folding it in half. Then we sealed it with a band. This is a great way to make a simple card a little more special.

Do you have any card-making tips to share?
