Are we having fun yet? I am! :) It's been a blast blogging at SEI Lifestyle the past couple days and today I have something a little different to share...a couple of cards. The Moonrise collection that I've been creating with is such a fabulous line! I'm naturally drawn to the warm earthy colors. Plus, the accents are gorgeous! Well, let me show you...
Isn't this butterfly incredible? It's one of the Metal Filigree embellishments. Look at the detailing...beautiful, isn't it? I bent my butterfly's wings up just a tad before adding him to the card to create definition and make him look like he just landed. The quote is one of the Gleaming Pearl die cuts...love these! I've used another one on this next card.
The French quote translates to, "There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved." I created the framing with a couple Nestabilities die cut shapes and added two tiny felt flowers. Have you noticed all the stitching on my projects so far? I'm one of those who has a hard time calling a project done until there's some stitch work! If I don't have time to stitching the entire length around a piece of paper, just add an inch or so of zigzag stitching in a couple places as shown on the card above. You get the same lovely detailing in a fraction of the time!
How about a giveaway? Would you like to win these two cards? Leave a comment today by midnight on this post and a comment over at my blog and I will randomly select a winner.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to SEI Lifestyle today! I have more up my sleeves for tomorrow so come back and 'see' me! Until then, make it a good one! :) Kathy
